Static and dynamic loading

Static load:
It do not change in magnitude or direction or poin of application. 

Dynamic load:
These loads varies in Magnitude and direction. 

Types:
These are of two types:
1. Which are of the same kind but change in magnitude such as the varying weight of traffic passing over a bridge. 

2. Live loads in which the magnitude changes from a maximum of one kind to maximum of the opposite kind such as the piston rod of a double acting engine. 


Impact load
The load which are applied with velocity are called as impact loads. 
For example : blows of a hammer,  rough road reaction to the wheels and axles of motors and cars.
